Durga

Durga idol can be kept at home in Hinduism. It is believed that keeping a Durga idol in the home can bring strength, power, and protection from evil forces.

According to Vastu Shastra, the idol should be placed in the east, west, or north direction, facing east or north. 

Location

The idol should be placed in a designated space in the puja room, on a pedestal or elevated platform. 

Avoidance

The idol should not be placed in the south or in front of any door or window.
